About Me
To me, agriculture is more than a lifestyle, or even a passion; agriculture is my life. My name is Nicole Markway and I am an Agriculture Business major, studying at Missouri State University. My family has been farming since they immigrated to the United States in the mid 1800’s. So I guess you could say that farming is in my blood. We own 80 acres in Osage Bend, Missouri and 200 acres in Eugene, Missouri where we currently live and run a small beef cattle herd and my four horses. In high school, my passion was centered around FFA and barrel racing at local rodeos. Being in college two hours away from the farm was a big adjustment. Leaving the wide open spaces, I have lived and learned a lot. Follow me on my journey of leaving the farm and traveling to where the blacktop begins.
